PARANTHAGAN – (907-953 AD)
·         Madurai kondan, Pon veindha Cholan.
·         The edicts at Uthiramerur reveals more information  about him.
·         He captured Madurai by defeating the Pandya king.
·         He defeated the joint army of Lanka and Pandya kings’.
·         Being an ardent devotee of Lord Siva, he arranged golden roof to the Nataraja Temple at Chidambaram.
·         The successors of Paranthagan – I are Kandaradhityan, Arinjayan, Paranthagan – II alias Sundara Cholan and Uththama Cholan.
RAJA RAJA CHOLAN – ( 985 – 1014 AD)
·         Epithets – Mummudy Cholan, Arunmozhi, Rajakesari, Kanthalur Salai Kalamarudharuliya
·         The Copper inscriptions at Thiruvalankadu reveal information about him.
·         He conquered the Lankan king – Mahindra – V and established a new capital named Pulanaruva.
·         He got the title ‘Mummudi Cholan’ to mark the victory over the kings of  Chera, Pandya and Lanka
·         He built the famous Brahadeeswarar temple in Thanjavur.
·         He put the internal administrative system into effective use
·         He introduced the surveying system of land.
·         Donated the Anaimangalam village for Bhudhist Temple.

RAJENDRAN – I (1012 – 1044 AD)
·         Epithets – Gangai kondan, Mudi kondan, Panditha Cholan, Uththama Cholan Gadaramkondan.     
·         The copper inscriptions at Thiruvalankadu and Karanthai reveal information about him.
·         He conquered entire Sri Lanka and established Chola ruling there.
·         He conquered the Bengal king Mahibalan I and brought water from the Ganges and mixed it in the Cholagangam lake.
·         Having conquered the Malasian region he got title ‘Gadaram Kondan’
·         He shifted the capital from Thanjavur to Gangai Kondan Cholapuram.
·         He built a big temple at Gangai Konda Cholapuram also, similar to the one at Thanjavur.
·         Rajadhirajan – I, Rajendran – II, Veera Rajendran, Adi Rajendran, the successors of Rajendran I, have ruled the Chola Nadu.
